Our Youth Program supports young people aged 12–24 with a warm, inclusive space to grow, connect, and thrive. Rooted in a strengths-based, person-centred approach, we offer individual support and case management, youth drop-in sessions, school-based cultural programs, and leadership opportunities through our cultural camps. Whether it’s a chat, a challenge, or a new opportunity, we're here to walk alongside our young people every step of the way.

Youth Programs

  • Settlement Leadership Program

Our Leadership Program empowers local Indigenous youth to explore their identity, culture, and aspirations while building skills to become confident leaders and role models in their community through workshops, excursions, and youth-led initiatives.

  • Cultural Identity, Building Connection, and Immersive Camps

Our Cultural Camps offer young people a chance to reconnect with their culture, step away from city life, and engage in meaningful cultural, social, and team-building activities that strengthen identity, life skills, and positive relationships in a supportive, community-focused setting.

  • Specialised Individual Case management

    Specialised Individual Case management

At The Settlement, we walk alongside young people with care and respect, providing culturally safe, tailored support for challenges like housing, health, family, and education barriers. With a no-wrong-door approach, we create a safe, welcoming space where young people can set their own goals and access the help they need to build positive, hopeful futures.

  • Social, Health and Wellbeing

We support young people’s health and wellbeing through inclusive programs like weekly fitness sessions, health yarns, and youth-led events—like our lively Mental Health Week celebration.

  • School Mob

School Mob is a culturally led wellbeing and engagement program for First Nations students, delivered by The Settlement across multiple schools including Inner Sydney High School and Canterbury Boys. Facilitated by our First Nations team, the program provides a culturally safe space for students to build identity, connect with community, and access holistic support through weekly sessions focused on culture, sport, yarning, creative expression, life skills, and individual care.

  • Skills, Education & Employment

We support young people on their journey to employment through tailored programs like our accredited school transition pathway and Learn to Drive Program, helping them build practical skills, confidence, and independence for their future.
