Robin Miles

Robin is the Director of Social Equity Works a social impact, research and evaluation company based in Sydney.

Robin is a skilled evaluator and social research design expert. Her company specialises in organisational improvement and social impact strategy in the not-for-profit sector. Robin is an experienced professional who uses QA principles to build stronger governance, risk management and systems for organisations. 

She is co-coordinator of Redfern Waterloo With One Voice Choir.

Thom Calma

Thom is the Executive Manager, Support at Participate Australia (PA), a disability support NGO based in Sydney’s Inner West. His rights-based approach has seen PA establish a Self-Advocacy committee and adopt a robust person-centre, strengths-based approach to disability support as the sector has transitioned to the NDIS.  Thom is also a member of Human Rights Watch (Sydney Committee) and a member of the Intellectual Disability Reference Group who provide guidance to the Independent Advisory Council to the NDIS. 

He is a local Darlington resident who originates from Darwin, NT and is a proud Kungarakan man.

Peter Allwood

Peter has more than 20 years’ experience at an executive/senior management level and is passionate about working with purposeful organisations to help them become more successful and sustainable. 

Having worked across a number of industries including property, health, banking, and manufacturing, both in Australia and internationally, Peter has a proven track record in leading teams to deliver results.

In 2011, he joined CanTeen, when the organisation was experiencing significant challenges. Over the next seven years, as COO, he was instrumental in transforming CanTeen into the strong, successful, and sustainable organisation it is today.

Peter is the current COO and Company Secretary of the National Breast Cancer Foundation.

Shara Quinn

Shara is an experienced executive with a background in Marketing & Communications whose roles have spanned private and Government sectors.

Starting in conferencing and publishing she went on to consult to Government ministers and senior officials.

From 2010 Shara headed up a Commercial construction company whilst always being involved in local organisations and volunteering.

Faye Minty

Faye is the CEO of Enliven Housing, one of the largest emerging Specialist Disability Accommodation Providers in Australia. With significant property holdings in Sydney and a five-year plan to expand to all other States and Territories, Enliven is rolling out a unique community cooperative model of housing and tenancy support for people with disability, promoting independence, autonomy, and human rights.

Faye has over 16 years’ experience as a Board Member in both the housing and disability sectors. 

She is passionate about promoting equality, inclusion, and diversity. Her primary area of influence is in housing, particularly housing for people with disability.

Shane Brown

Shane has worked in and with the community sector for more than 40 years. He is particularly interested in services and projects that help marginalised and socially excluded communities. 

As the former CEO of Weave Youth and Community Services Inc. Shane was responsible overall management of the service and for finding new funding to support programs. Shane was instrumental in Weave’s growth and development and was a driving force for social good.  

Shane believes that it is the generosity, strength and resilience of the community that is the glue that holds us together.

He is the winner of the 2018 NADA Lifetime Achievement award for significant contribution of an individual working in the non-government alcohol and other drugs sector. He is also 2018 winner of a lifetime achievement award from Youth Action for his contribution to the Youth Sector in NSW.

Shane is an alumnus of Social Leadership Australia.

Dr Tiffany McComsey

Tiffany completed her PhD in Social Anthropology at the University of Manchester in 2012. She examined Aboriginal community development practices in Redfern from 2005 to 2007. 

She is a passionate community advocate and is a member of the Executive Committee of Just Reinvest NSW. She is CEO of the Kinchela Boys Home Aboriginal Corporation, which supports survivors of the Kinchela Aboriginal Boys Training Home, their descendants, and families. 

She has spent over a decade working and conducting research with Aboriginal community members and organisations, primarily in inner city Sydney (the communities of Redfern and Waterloo). 

Tiffany was the inaugural coordinator of Just Reinvest NSW and sits on the Indigenous Issues Committee of the NSW Law Society.
